Mr Johnson highlighted the controversial decision to give up UK control over the Chagos Islands, pay hikes for striking public sector workers and fears of tax hikes in the upcoming budget.
He told LBC Radio: "We were told this was going to be a kind of Blairite government, right? And you know, he would govern from the centre. And a lot of people bought into that.
"He is not. He is governing way from the left. I mean stuff like giving away the Chagos Islands, massive pay increases for the unions.
"You know, huge tax rises we’re now threatened with in October, when they're not necessary. Doing nothing to reform Whitehall."

Pressed on if that meant the Tories can win the next general election, he added: "I really think they, I think they will. At this rate, they unquestionably will."
The ex-PM declined to endorse any of the Conservative leadership candidates ahead of ballots yesterday [TUES] and today [WEDS] whittling them down to the final two.
Mr Johnson, who led the Tories to a landslide victory at the 2019 general election, said: “I can’t. It would be wrong of me to comment.
“There are good candidates now strutting their stuff and they should be allowed to get on with it.”
The 60-year-old, who is promoting his new memoir Unleashed, also lashed at "greedy" Sir Keir over the freebies row.

The Prime Minister has come under fire for accepting tens of thousands of pounds worth of gifts such as clothing from Labour donor and peer Lord Alli.
Mr Johnson said: "I want you to know, I have no donors paying for my suits. Or spectacles. Who pays for your spectacles? You pay for your spectacles, don't you? It's unbelievable.
"I mean, the guy, he's a silk, right? I mean, he must be worth a bob or two. Why has he got some guy paying for his spectacles?"

Mr Johnson questioned why Sir Keir had accepted gifts from Lord Alli, who had a No 10 pass, when he was "on a perfectly good salary from the Government anyway".
He added: "You know, that looks greedy, right? But if you then give the guy a pass to Number 10, that looks corrupt. And so I just don't get it. I don't know why he's still wearing those spectacles.
"Well apart from the fact he can't see. He can't see what a mess he's making of things."
