UK weather maps have shown when the next snow bomb is set to hit the country.

14 counties in England will be affected, according to WXCharts.

Predictions on Monday suggested that the snowfall will again arrive on January 24, affecting the south of the country.

Maps forecasted that the wave of snow will reach as far north as Gloucestershire, and, to the south west, part of Somerset.

Hampshire, West and East Sussex and Kent look also to be impacted, as well as London and perhaps a small part of Essex.

It seems as though Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire will also be included in the wave of snow.

The white patch on maps also covers Wiltshire, Berkshire and Surrey.

There is also a splodge just to the right of Manchester, and the south east of Newcastle.

A smaller section can be seen to the south east of the Northumberland city.

As well as areas of England, the south east and parts of the middle of Wales look set to be snowed on.

In addition, as is usually the case, many parts of Scotland are predicted to be affected by the white stuff.

The Met Office's forecast for January 18 to 27 reads: "High pressure will lie close to the southeast of the UK initially, with generally settled conditions across many parts.

"Cloud amounts generally be large, and a little light drizzle is likely in places, which could locally become freezing by Sunday.

"A weakening frontal system looks like it will edge east across the UK during Sunday and Monday, before high pressure briefly builds back in from the west in its wake.

"Low pressure then seems likely to increasingly influence the UK weather later in the period, with some rain or showers and windier conditions affecting most if not all parts.

"Temperatures are likely to be generally a little above average, especially in the north, though more frost and fog patches are likely under clearer skies and lighter winds."
