British tourists planning to visit France in the next few months may have to pay more for the flights, an aviation expert has warned.
Experts from AirAdvisor analysed the latest EUROCONTROL European Network Operations Plan and shared a detailed outlook on air traffic trends.
It highlights key air traffic hotspots, potential ATC bottlenecks, and operational risks that could impact the travel plans for many tourists.
The experts observed the expected disruptions and capacity constraints across European airspace over the next eight weeks.
According to them, rising fuel costs are expected to have a significant impact on airfares, but the effect will be more pronounced on long-haul flights rather than shorter, domestic routes.

With rising fuel prices, these traditional airlines will face increased challenges in maintaining profitability, potentially leading to higher ticket prices for their passengers, the experts warned.
They said: “Rising fuel costs will impact airfares but only on long-haul flights. This means legacy carriers like Lufthansa, British Airways, and Air France will struggle, while budget airlines will dominate Europe.
“Plus, airlines might increase ticket prices for flights crossing French airspace to account for rerouting costs.”
France is a popular holiday destination among the Brits. The country offers everything from iconic landmarks and art to world-class cuisine and beautiful natural scenery.

Aviation expert and Founder of AirAdvisor, Anton Radchenko has advised passengers to avoid French airspace until March.
He said: “Air Traffic Control (ATC) bottlenecks are a major concern across Europe, which is bad news for travellers. For instance, the French airspace (Brest, Marseille, Paris, Reims) is installing new Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems through March 16th, increasing disruption and forcing airlines to rethink rerouting strategies.
"In fact, the French ATC will be the leading cause of flight delays in Europe in the coming months and passengers should be prepared. France already accounts for 41 percent of Europe’s ATFM disruptions, so with this ATC meltdown, the figure is set to rise.
"My simple advice for passengers is to avoid French airspace until late March to avoid the risk of delays."
