Penny Mordaunt has revealed she plans to stand at the next general election.
The former Tory MP, who was once a leadership favourite, was one of the most high-profile politicians to lose their seats last July.

Ms Mordaunt represented Portsmouth North for 14 years from 2010 to 2024.
She narrowly lost her seat to Labour by around 800 votes at the last election which Sir Keir Starmer won by a landslide.
She was previously seen as a potential candidate to succeed Rishi Sunak as Tory leader after having run in two contests.
Ms Mordaunt's profile was boosted by her sword-carrying role at the King's Coronation.
