QUETTA: Senate Deputy Chairman Syedaal Khan Nasar on Saturday stressed the need for political stability and peace in the country as prerequisites for economic prosperity and development.

Speaking to the media during his visit to the Quetta Press Club, he urged political parties to address issues within parliament and abide by the Constitution while avoiding disruptive protests.

Accompanied by the club’s president, Abdul Khaliq Rind, Mr Nasar expressed optimism about moving beyond past grievances with the PML-N leadership.

Highlighting Balochis-tan’s significance, Mr Nasar termed the province his home and outlined federal initiatives aimed at improving its law and order, electricity, gas, agriculture, health and education sectors.

He noted federal efforts to enhance railway and communication networks and lauded the 2018 PML-N government for contributing to the country’s progress, including eradicating loadshedding.

The Senate deputy chairman revealed plans to convert 70 per cent of agricultural tube wells in Balochistan to solar power with support of the federal government.

Criticising a political party for fostering instability, Mr Nasar urged all parties to adopt constructive approaches.

“Pakistan’s future lies in stability, peace, and respecting the people’s mandate,” the Senate deputy chairman said.
