The exodus of millionaires will continue with the Chancellor's tax rises (Image: Getty)
Is there anyone left in the country – apart from the hard left itself – who doesn’t now recognise the Keir Starmer government for what it is? The latest, totally predictable, mutterings have informed us that there are more taxes on the way. Oh, what a surprise! And even more to the point, these will be wealth taxes, thus punishing everyone who has actually made something of their lives. It’s spiteful, vindictive class warfare.
Why can’t someone drum it into the thick heads of those people who are laughably in high office, that if you tax high earners they will leave the country? And who will pay for their precious NHS then? Or the soaring benefits bill that will bankrupt this country if someone doesn’t get it under control? But it won’t be this lot, that’s for sure. Rachel from Accounts has totally lost what little credibility she ever had and Keir Starmer is heading fast in the same direction.

This government is not going to change course simply because it is not motivated by common sense, nor indeed competence but by a hard-left dogma that has failed over and over again wherever it has been practised. Do none of these people read history books?
Or Animal Farm, come to that? We are heading straight back into the 1970s, an unmitigated economic disaster for this country until someone came along to save us – and her successor cannot arrive fast enough.
