Starmer’s created a toxic, totalitarian tax-raising tyranny... and now he will pay for it

       OPINION

Only in Keir Starmer’s topsy-turvy toxic Britain would you find illegal immigrants housed for free while British pensioners are sacrificed to go cold; a mother jailed for a tweet (admittedly unacceptable) but violent criminals free to walk the streets; parents smeared as far-right racist thugs for protesting against illegal adult male migrants being housed en masse in their communities, while the scandal of grooming gangs is not properly investigated.

Starmer, in little more than a year, has taken the UK from a rules-based, civilised country to a confused, self- hating, beleaguered, two-tier failing state. Illegal migrants are treated better than law-abiding citizens, and those who pay tax are squeezed to pay ever more in order to subsidise those who have never paid into the system.

The PM, and his cabinet of inadequates and cronies, have taken a wrecking ball to the country and made the UK the laughing stock of the world. TikTok sensation and illegal immigrant, Alexandra420, couldn’t believe his luck when he landed a free four-star hotel room, free food, free NHS treatment, dental care, days out and taxi rides – and he has posted a step by step guide on how to break into the UK.

Already viewed by a million people, he’s telling anyone who’ll listen to get to the UK for all these freebies and to bring their friends.

What exactly is the missing-in-action Home Secretary Yvette Cooper doing? Waving more illegal immigrants into the country? Yet another 2,500 have arrived in the two weeks since her ludicrous “one-in, one-out” scheme came into force. Smash the gangs, bring illegal immigration down? Not a chance. Cooper, famous for posing with a #refugeeswelcome sign, is no doubt too busy finding more hotels to accommodate them in.

The public never voted for this. They never voted for Starmer’s systematic destruction of the UK.

Before the election he promised to “put money back in the pockets of working people”. He also said “pensioners will be better off”, and that he was “absolutely committed to supporting our farmers”.

He said Labour’s plans were “fully costed and funded and that means no tax rises for working people, no income tax, no national insurance, no VAT, we’ll stabilise the economy.”

He even promised to freeze council tax. Never have so many lies been told by so few to so many. All a con to get people to vote Labour.

I remember being surprised at the election when some Jeremy Corbyn supporters told me they’d rather vote for me than Starmer, for while their views were the opposite of mine, they said, unlike Starmer, I was as good as my word.

They’d discovered his duplicity early on when he had pretended to be a Corbynista to win the party leadership only to turn on Corbyn and force him out of the party.

They were right. Starmer would say anything to get what he wanted, and he did.

For all his lies the public will exact their revenge and Starmer’s downfall will be the truth he can’t escape.

Rachel Reeves - The gift that keeps on taking

DESPERATE Rachel from Accounts is planning another ham-fisted tax raid – this time on inheritance tax and lifetime gifts by family members.

Such a move will raise relatively little money for the Exchequer and will be deeply unpopular.

It will end up hitting the Bank of Mum and Dad and the middle classes hard, stopping thousands of youngsters getting on the property ladder.

Those who push for an increase in inheritance tax always argue it affects very few people – only about 1 in 20 estates pay it every year.

They fail to understand that behind every estate is a family of brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, and grandchildren. So the true impact is much greater than statistics suggest.

It is also money that has already been taxed.

Mark my words, this will prove to be hugely unpopular – just like the Winter Fuel Payments debacle.

       Stock answer to halt thieves

THEY might have been last used in 1872, but I think it’s high time stocks were brought back as a punishment.

First in line would be shoplifters who have been stealing from stores for far too long with impunity.

In my world these common thieves would be treated to a short sharp shock of public humiliation and some rotten veg thrown at them.

How about a hour in the stocks for every £10 stolen from shops. Or am I being too lenient?

       Confident Catherine’s family values

FROM The Darling Buds Of May in the 1990s to playing Morticia Addams in Wednesday this year, and having collected an Oscar, a Bafta, a Tony Award and husband Michael Douglas along the way, Catherine Zeta-Jones has enjoyed a stellar career and life.

People questioned if she was doing the right thing leaving the UK and marrying a man 25 years her senior, but they’re celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

Good job she’s always known her own mind and wasn’t dissuaded by the naysayers.

Female police joggers are just another distraction

THE latest waste of police time is “undercover jogging” where female police officers go for a jog with the sole intention of ensnaring cat-callers. You’d have thought the police had more important things to be getting on with, like tackling burglary, violent crime, shoplifting even, but not in Surrey where cat-calling is right up there on their list of priorities.

If the police really want to protect women, get investigating the grooming gangs. Undercover jogging is yet another distraction from solving serious crimes.

Why are fatties losing the plot over burial sites

WOLVERHAMPTON Council was castigated for its plans to charge a burial “fat tax”: that is, if your loved one needed an XL burial plot your family would have to pay more for the bigger plot. A regular five-foot burial plot would cost £2,700 and a six-foot one £450 more.

Seems reasonable to me. I can’t see what all the fuss is about. If you want a bigger house, a bigger car, a bigger sofa or bed you’d more than likely pay more. So what’s wrong with paying more for a bigger burial plot? Maybe others should follow suit. I’d start with XL passengers on flights having to pay extra. I know I have to if I want extra leg room.
