A woman is at her wit's end after her neighbour repeatedly orders Just Eat deliveries to her address because their own home isn't recognised by delivery apps.
The frustrated resident explained how she's constantly being disturbed by takeaway drivers at all hours, only to discover the food isn't actually hers.

A takeaway is an indulgent treat many people want to enjoy, using any of the popular courier services to bring an eclectic array of cuisines to their door. While the buzz of the bell signalling a food delivery typically sparks joy, for one woman, it causes anger and frustration.
This is because her neighbour is treating her like their own personal delivery service, inputting her address whenever they order from Just Eat then waiting for her to bring their food round to them after it's been dropped off at her house.
Taking to Reddit for advice, she titled her post: "Is there a way to stop a neighbour using my address for Just Eat?"

The woman then continued: "I live on a new build estate and the road behind me doesn't seem to have been added to delivery apps. I frequently get a neighbour order to my address and put in the delivery instructions their own address.

"Naturally, no one looks at this and I end up with my doorbell ringing late at night or morning with food for them. I wouldn't mind as much if they came to intercept it but they stay home and wait for me to send it round."
The exasperated woman revealed she'd contacted Just Eat directly but was told they needed specific order numbers to take action - information she simply doesn't have access to.
Reddit users were quick to offer their advice.
One suggested: "Why don't you just put a note on the door?'We have NOT ordered any food. This order is for the road behind. Please do NOT ring our bell - we will NOT answer'."
Another advised: "Reject the delivery and tell them that you don't know who ordered it. Once they don't receive their food after a couple of times they'll soon stop as they'll get blacklisted as a no show".
A third said: "The choices are either to deny all knowledge of the order to the driver, sending them away; or to take in and eat the succulent Chinese meal, denying all knowledge to the neighbour.
"Why would someone order a takeaway to someone's house if not as a lovely present for the occupants?"
A fourth recommended: "Go and speak to your neighbour and tell them to stop doing it. If they continue, then eat the food until they do."

Another user proposed: "The obvious answer is to tell the neighbour to stop and to not send it around if it continues. Say you didn't order and that it must be a mistake. If you keep just going along with it then they will keep doing it."
And another added: "Add the address to Google Maps and Openstreet Map. I live in a private row of 5 houses. When I moved in, getting anything delivered was a pain. They would always go to the next street over.
"The neighbours said it was a problem and there was no way to fix it. I just added my address to the maps. I then showed a couple of neighbours, they did the same. It takes a little while for things to update, but now we get proper deliveries."
