A Canadian woman was left feeling unsettled in her own home after receiving a peculiar note from her DoorDash delivery driver, labelling her street as "dangerous".
The woman had used the popular food delivery service when she received her order with an unexpected handwritten message attached to the bag.

The cryptic note sent chills down her spine as the driver - known as a "Dasher" - suggested that the road she lived on posed a "hazardous" threat. Initially, the woman thought the driver might have encountered an aggressive dog or an unpleasant neighbour, but the note's content implied it was the street itself that was menacing.
Taking to Reddit, the woman posted a photo of the note, which covered both sides of the paper and featured certain phrases emphasised in red pencil.
The note stated: "Sorry if I took a while! When I arrived down your street, it pulled up and showed me its teeth! (I felt threatened tbh [to be honest]).

"It yelled at me, 'You can't pass down this street! You come any closer, I'll turn you into meat!' (So rude, I actually cried). I saw my life flash, I almost died! Please have a word and let them know Dashers have to bring orders."

On the reverse side, the Dasher added two more remarks, including one indicating they would mark the woman's address as "dangerous" for future reference.
The note read: "P.S, I didn't report your street for threats this time, but if it happens again, I'll have no choice. It's too dangerous. P.P.S, I hope your food was great! It's not your fault the street is protective, don't worry. I know you didn't raise it to be like that."
Baffled by the peculiar message, the woman reached out to DoorDash in an attempt to uncover what "threat" the driver had faced, only to be told by the company that they would lodge a complaint against the driver on her behalf.

She explained: "I have no idea what it's about. It sounds like they encountered a mean dog or something, but we don't have a dog, and our neighbour's dog just died. Anyway, I tried asking DoorDash to contact the driver and ask what the 'threat' was since they said they'd report my address as hazardous next time.
"Instead, the DoorDash representative said they filed a complaint against the driver. When I insisted that wasn't what I wanted, they simply repeated their stance and ended the chat. I thought I'd post the note online because it's so bizarre."
But the enigma of the note has seemingly been solved by a commenter on the post. Signed by someone named Kelsey, it turns out she is an artist from Vancouver, where the woman lives.
Kelsey is known for leaving notes with her orders that are meant to be artistic poems and serve as a unique way to promote her artwork.

The commenter shed light on the situation, saying: "Kelsey is a local artist who is trying to add weird poems and art cards to garner interest in her art page on Facebook. She's deaf (as noted on the card), so she brings along a partner who helps hand these out. She calls the art cards 'Spirit Animals'."
They added: "Her ramblings and art are certainly something (not my thing), but [it's] harmless."
