An area of Scotland was hit by a 3.1 magnitude earthquake just before 2am this morning, startling residents awake. The epicentre of the quake was close to the town of Lochgilphead in Argyll and Bute and reports reveal tremors were felt in the region at around 1: 44am. Resident Kyla Steele, from the nearby town of Tarbert, tweeted: “ Nothing like an earthquake to jolt you up.“ That's the biggest one I've felt.“ Whole house shook.“ Quite strong here given it was near Oban apparently.” READ MORE: A
