A man who shot and killed two Elgin men during a 2018 drug deal for a pound of pot was found guilty of first-and second-degree murder Wednesday by a Kane County jury. Travaris D. Stevenson, 26, of Chicago, was also convicted of armed violence in the shooting of Raymond Dyson, 29, and Mark McDaniel, 26. Prosecutors said Stevenson drove from Chicago to Elgin after arranging to sell marijuana to Dyson and McDaniel on the afternoon of April 29, 2018, a state’s attorney’s office news release said....
