Earlier today, the energy company announced it would be relocating to the UK, and would drop the “ Royal Dutch ” from its official name. Once the move is complete Shell's tax residence will also move to the UK along with many senior employees. Board meetings will also take place in the UK. Business and Energy Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng welcomed the announcement as “ a clear vote of confidence in the British economy.” The Dutch government said the announcement had been an “ unwelcome surprise ”....
