KUALA LUMPUR( Bernama): A Singaporean woman on Wednesday( Oct 13) pleaded not guilty at the Ampang Sessions Court here to abusing an autistic child. Sharifah Mazlan is accused of abusing the six-year-old child at an autism intervention centre in Bandar Baru Ampang at 10am on Oct 1. The 51-year-old was charged under Section 31( 1)( a) of the Child Act 2001, which carries a maximum fine of RM50, 000, or up to 20 years’ in jail, or both, if convicted.
