A 16-year-old ballerina who received one of the world’s first custom-made “ en pointe ” prosthetic legs poses in New York before performing on it on stage for the first time. Pollyanna Hope, from Harpenden, Herts, amazed the crowd at a Dance for Mobility fundraiser hosted by Kevin Bacon in Manhattan. The event, at the Florence Gould Theater, raised around$ 80, 000 for Penta, a non-profit that supplies prosthetic limbs to the developing world which works with UK charity Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope
