PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission( MACC) has appointed seven new members to the Special Committee on Corruption. The appointment of the seven, who include Dewan Negara Speaker Tan Sri Rais Yatim, four senators and two opposition MPs, took effect on July 15 and will be valid until July 14, 2024.In a statement on Monday( July 26), MACC stated that the appointments were based on the advice of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in line with the provisions of the MACC Act 2
